About Us

Organisations, large and small, are challenged to deliver ever more value using fewer resources. They encounter volatile conditions, uncertainty, high complexity and ambiguity, that has frequently led to the collapse and failure of many, once-successful institutions.

Faced with apparently unsolvable challenges, some organisations, however, have secured remarkable outcomes, by inspiring and harnessing the collaborative, creative ways of their people in meeting their core purpose.

We believe that this new approach is fundamental to the improvement of the human condition, capable of addressing even the greatest of human challenges from climate change and social justice, through to organisational transformation and product or service delivery. We call this approach Business Agility.

It is the mission of the Agile Business Consortium to advance business agility worldwide, and to be the professional body for the agile community. We welcome any professional, regardless of rank or role, to join us to build their own capability and value along with that of their organisation.  We welcome any organisation, regardless of sector or function.

The scope of our mission is large, and the journey will be long. The Agile Business Consortium must grow to survive, thrive and meet these obligations and be a force for good. We have chosen to operate as a not-for-profit business, so that we can pursue our mission without compromise to the need to satisfy shareholder demands.

We are funded exclusively through the sale of knowledge products and services that leverage intellectual property owned or licensed by the Agile Business Consortium. This funding enables us to operate as the professional body without compromise to competitive pressures, to pursue the journey of business agility wherever excellence of practice takes us.

The knowledge products and services that we offer are validated by business agility professionals, to provide the highest quality learning journeys for everyone entering or maintaining their understanding of this rapidly developing environment.
